1. Hit 855 putts: Reno-Tahoe has 43 public golf courses and seven private courses all within 90 minutes of the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. 4. Water sports available on more than 400 square miles: As North America’s largest alpine lake, the water in Lake Tahoe could cover a flat area the size of California by 14 inches and is 99.9 percent pure offering visibility to 75 feet below the surface. In addition to Tahoe, water enthusiasts can take to boats, skis, wakeboards, kayaks, catamarans, wind surfers and sail boats at any number of desert and alpine lakes including Pyramid Lake, the second largest lake in the region, and Donner Lake.

6. Try Lady Luck 15,000 times: Try your luck at one of the 14,000 slot machines or throw some dice at any of the 600 first-class tables or watch as the top players compete in the televised World Poker Tour Championships.
7. Fish at 250 fishing holes: Throw a couple of spinners at the Kokanee salmon in Lake Tahoe, catch a couple of killer cutthroat trout in Pyramid Lake or toss some flies in the Truckee River, home to both brown and rainbow trout, conveniently accessible from downtown Reno’s or just minutes by car.
8.
